Recommended Sportsbooks

I've been traveling full time for over a decade and betting consistently for the past few years. In that time, I've learned that most sportsbooks are built for someone sitting in a single country with a stable home address. The moment you start moving around, things break down fast.

The two platforms I actually use right now are BetOnline and Polymarket. Everything else I've tried has caused problems that weren't worth dealing with.

BetOnline is the one I'd recommend first for anyone betting while traveling. I was in Thailand last year, where online gambling is banned, which meant I needed a VPN to log in. They asked for some verification to confirm it was me, which is reasonable, and then everything worked as normal. That matters more than most people realize until they're sitting in a country with restrictions and can't access their account before a game starts. Payouts have always come through on time without any back-and-forth. That consistency is why I've stayed with them.

Polymarket operates differently. It's a prediction market rather than a traditional sportsbook, so you can bet on sports alongside politics, economics, and current events. The platform runs on blockchain infrastructure, which is part of why it's accessible in more places globally with fewer restrictions. It's worth knowing about as a second option, particularly if you're in a region where traditional offshore books are harder to access.

I don't recommend anything I'm not actively using. Both of these have earned their place on this page.
